I have a 20 hp briggs and stratton motor that broke a rod back in the summer. I replace the rod and installed new rings. It turns over but won't start. It has spark and is getting fuel, but will not even try to even hit. Tried starting fluid but still no luck. What else could be wrong with it? I would appreciate any ideas, cause I am all out of them.

When it broke the rod, it could easily have sheared the flywheel key throwing the ignition timing off. That is the next thing I would check.
