Hi!

So I've been trying to conceive for a very long time, and it's been a struggle. My husband and I have really tried to pinpoint the day the last couple of months. 8 days after I ovulated I began a very light spotty period with mild cramps. I am NEVER early, AND this was a whole 7 days before I was supposed to start my regular period. I am always on the dot, 28 day cycles. I was only on the pill for 3 months in my whole entire life. I got off it 4 months ago so it should have worn off. For the first two days the blood was was not pinkish or brown or with discharge. Then it stopped for one night, then picked up again for 3 more days, which turned into a dark burgandy brownish tint. It never used up any more than one pad a day. Could this be implantation bleeding? What other reasons would cause me to have an early period?

Just because you have regular periods doesn't mean that you will not have an early one.

Stress could have been the cause.

I don't believe implantation bleeding, if it does happen, lasts that long.

Take a test to be sure. Use first morning urine.

Good luck :)

Thanks for responding. I really don't think it's a period. It's so light I can barely get anything when I wipe and very brown. My periods have always been heavy with clots and painful cramping. With this mid cycle phenomenon I had mild cramping for only the first two days. I'm supposed to start my normal heavy cycle in two days. Will this spotting cycle run into the regular cycle and then all of a sudden I'm heavy. It's weird.

Yes... the bleeding might run altogether. You may bleed longer than you normally do.

But you never know, you could be pregnant.

Wait it out the next couple of days. See what kind of symptoms you are experiencing.

Don't stress about it. It will make your period even weirder.

The mind has great power over the body.

Thanks! So I just took a pregnancy test this morning and there is a barely visible line- you have to scrutinize to see it. Yet I didn't notice the line till a couple hours later. I'm worried it's just an evaporation line because it was colorless with two lines on the side.

I think you should trust the answer you received no later than 5 minues after testing your urine.

Do you live by a dollar tree or a 99 cents store?

If you do and they sell pregnancy tests... just buy a few of those. They work just the same. Save the money!

I have never had a problem with them, they have always been right for me.

Hey! The tests I've been using are from the dollar tres. So I took test this morning and those barely visible lines with no color in the middle showed up again just minutes after I tested! It's too hard for me to believe though because it's so faint!

Well first let me say, I understand what you are going through. My husband and I have been through 5 years of fertility treatments. It's been a tough road and we are still trying.

I don't know what the bleeding is from, but I've heard from my friend who has 4 children that it sometimes happens when you are pregnant. She also mentions breast swelling and uterine cramping, but every woman is different.
I wish you the best!

Yes! That's exactly what mine was like. I've now missed my regular period by 3 days. The pregnancy tests were so so soooooo faint my husband couldn't even see it. He does not believe I'm pregnant until I show a bump, he said. Drives me crazy!
