I just purchased a new Kenmore 600 washer, model #29622. I noticed that on the HOT wash temperature the washer fills alternately with hot water and cool water, which results in a tub full of very warm water. My previous two washing machines filled ONLY with hot water when the selector was on HOT temp.

Is this normal for this machine or is this a malfunction? :confused:

Some of the new style washers have a temperature graduating sensor. The sensor if so equipped could be defective. If it is new call Sears it has a warenty.

I have replaced my temperature control twice, it is a bad design. If I have the temp knob on Cold, Cool or Warm it washes on Hot, If I have it on Hot it washes on Cold. And, it rinses everything on Hot regardless.
