I had my miscarriage on October 12 2008. And I was wondering how long should I wait before trying again. I know its best to let my body heal completely and get my normal health back. Since the miscarriage, I have had a period (november 8th thro the 13th). I just want to make sure I don't try again TOO SOON. Help please.

Thanks! :)

I had three miscarriages before I recently got pregnant with my soon to arrive son. I didn't plan it so I'm not sure how long but my miscarriage was about three months before I got pregnant again. I know that it is scary and I know how heart breaking it is to loose a pregnancy. Just keep your head up and have faith and know that nothing is impossible.

It's really best to talk to your OBGYN about this. Some women do get pregnant again right away but it's good to give your body some time to rest and heal after a miscarriage.

I know that my doctor advised me to wait 3 months after my miscarriage, but a friends doctor told her 6 months. I think it all depends on your doctor and your body.

Good luck. :)

Kariikari -- my boyfriend & I were trying for 9 months before I got pregnant. I just didn't want to try again too soon and get another miscarriage. I had my miscarriage at 9 weeks so I didn't get too attached. But thank you for all your advice!

Altenweg -- I did talk to my OBGYN after they confirm my miscarriage. She told me 3 months. So I have till January before I can try again.. I just wanted to see how long all the other mother's to be waited.

Thank you kariikarii & altenweg, I guess I just got to give it time. Its just hard when all my friends are pregnant and everywhere I go I seem to see mothers to be or mothers with their child. But my time will come.

Thank you.

I just wanted to see how long all the other mother's to be waited.

You really need to listen to your doctor, not other mother's to be. Every woman is different... every pregnancy is different, etc. Since your doctor knows your medical history, he/she is the expert in your care. There are many variances that come into play here and your doctor is your best advocate at this point.

My doctor said to wait 6 mo. But I started trying at 3. I've been trying now for 8 mo and nothing yet. I think everyone is different though. I know how hard it is to have a miscarriage. I had mine at 11 weeks. Good luck to you!
