I have a crack on the bottom of my pvc pipe that comes out of the bottom of my tub.To replace it it looks like I would have to raise my tub because there is a beam close to it and I can't turn it where it is.I was wondering if there is any kind of compound I could use to seal the crack or should I just call a Plumber?

It is the tub drain no high pressure

Here is my solution, I would unscrew the drain out of the tub, this will let the white piece (The Shoe) drop down, go to Home Depot and see if they have just this part, a PVC shoe, if not I would buy a new tub waste and overflow kit. Then replace the one you took out with the one in the new kit, keep the other paarts for spare parts.

The shoe thingy can be shortened to any length desired.
If you can't unscrew, I'd use a hot knife to cut the nut.
THE PROBLEM IS GOING TO HAPPEN AGAIN
I know you didn't want to hear that. What happens is yhe weight of a person and the water in the tub flexes the tub and hits the iron pipe just under the shoe. You have to get some clearance there. I'd say at least 3/8 to 1/2 an inch.
HOW?
A wood chisel comes to mind.
So does a flex shaft Dremel with a saw blade. See: Attachments (http://www.dremel.com/en-us/AttachmentsAndAccessories/Pages/Attachments.aspx)
You need to enlarge downward the holes supporting the galvanized pipe for a few joists to either side.
You can use plumbing hangers/allthred/base to push the pipe slightly downward to create clearance for the shoe pipe.
You HAVE to do this!
