View Full Version : State of WA. My old boss won't send me my check!

Normally we get paid on the 16th, and the boss just writes out a simple check, however I moved home to Oregon, and now my old boss will not answer my phone calls, and told the other employees not to transfer my calls to her when I call the restaurant. I don't want to drag this out much longer, but I'm really hurting for my last paycheck. What can I do?

Contact your state dept. of licensing and regulation or whatever it is called in your state.
You should have a dept. that covers labor regulations, mabe the same as the safety regulators.

Actually the State where the wages were earned is the State that would handle this, not the State where the OP resides.
It's probably Wage and Hour.

Or, you could drive back to the jurisdiction where the restaurant is, and file a small claims case.
