I just tried to install this at my mothers house and the furnace will not turn off when it is on auto after the desired temp. is reached it still continues to run hot air? The only thing I was not sure about was there was a red wire going to the back of the thermostat into the y terminal I think it controls the fan? Not sure.. the colors I have coming from the wall are White,Green,Red, and blue I hooked up W- to white, G-to Green. Red-to RH, and blue to y, there also is a jumper that I left alone from RH to RC... Can anyone tell me if I did anything wrong?

Yes you did do something wrong but from what you told me I don't know yet what it is. The wiring is right if this is the way that they are connected at the low voltage board at the furnace.
The jumper is OK also.
Read on the bottom door about how to run a test on this unit and post back and tell us what it did.

Yes, the colors sound right, but that assumes it was wired up according to how those colors are typically used.
What would help even more is if you could post what the original tstat was, and what terminals these wires were wired to on that tsat.

I returned the tstat and bought a new one it turned out to be defective, now it works just fine the wiring was correct, thanks for all of your responses...

You are so lucky , so many places do not let you return electrical merchandise that has been installed. And I can understand why.

I told them that the tstat was not working properly and to not put it back on the shelf, no problem what so ever.
