It's possible that you are pregnant and that your hormone levels aren't high enough to detect yet. It could also be that you're just having an off month, it happens to all of us. Stress, diet, exercise, all these things can affect your period.

Wait another week and take another hpt, make sure to use first morning urine. You could also go to the doctor and get a blood test done, if it's negative then you discuss your concerns then.
