Hi there,
I'm 18, my partner is 7 years older than me. We've been together for 2 years and living together for 6 months.
We've always agreed that we don't want marriage or children for a very long time, but he'll make jokes about me and him getting married or saying that we are 'good parents' to our veggie patch... I'm starting to believe that all of this time, he has been trying to drop hints - although when we talk about it on a serious note, he'll be the complete opposite.
The other day, very randomly, he just asked me from out of nowhere, "Do you want to have kids?". I completely went blank. He said he wants to start trying for children when he turns 30 years old... I do not want kids until I'm finished university and have a job in the career I'm studying to get into (we both work full time at the moment). Although I believe he'd be the most perfect father for our children and from time to time I daydream about us spending time with our 'future children'.
How do I tell him all of that? How do I tell him that I want to finish my education and actually get married before we get into kids?
Please help... this is eating at my brain... Thanks.
