I have zits all over and well I wash my face a lot and put this zit cream on but it takes like 2 weeks to a month to get it mostly gone and then more come up and if I put too much of that cream on it makes my face really dry and it hurts and gets red and then the zits stay there still. Any ideas on products or washing or something else? And if you can I do have dry skin somewhat anyway so if you could mention some good moisturizers or something. I just want to look great for my girlfriend because I have zits in spots it shouldn't... please help though and thank you

If I were you I would post this in the Health and Wellness forums under Skin Care.

I remember using acne medications that would dry out my skin very badly and burn. What helped me after using it (and after it dried) was to put on a face lotion. It at least helped the dryness.

I know this medication works very well for acne, though I'm not positive, you may need a prescription for it.
Acne Treatment Products: Differin (http://www.differin.com/)

A friend of mine who had severe acne also went to a dermatologist about it and ended up taking a pill for it. I don't know what the pill is, but it completely cleared up her problem.
Your best bet would be to talk to your doctor and see what your options are.

Do not wash your face more than twice a day.excessive washing is not good for your skin.neither is excessive scrubbing.get witch hazel.its a natural astringent that you can find in the alcohol and bandage section of any supermarket.use it after washing your face it helps remove sny excess dirt that was left on your face and is also a natural skin toner and helps with irritation not only with ance but other skin irritations as well.may I also suggest st ives apricot scrub.u can also find this at your local grocer snd drug store.try not to scrub too much with this.it has a lot of abrassive scrubbies in it which is effective for removing dead skin and it leaves the skin rediculously soft.get the blackhead and acne control one.just a couple of things to try.both of these products are cheap and effective so you won't feel like you spent a ton of money on something that did not work.I know it sounds like a lot.oh and the witch hazel won't dry out your skin either.palmers cocao butter or any frangrance free moisterizer for the skin.hope it gets better for you buddy

I'm no expert either but I tried a lot of things over the years to help my skin and those seemed to work for me and both the products I recommended have been around for YEARS! And is obviously effective.but what may work for me may not work for you since we are all different.but still try.and I tried differin a few years ago it didn't work ofr me.dried out my skin.it was ridiculous

If it's bad enough go to a dermatologist. He/she will be able to best perscribe something that will work the best for YOU. That's what I would do at least. Out of all the things I've tried going to a dermatologist worked the best by FAR!

I think most people don't even notice acne unless it is their own. If it isn't too bad then you could just wait for it to go away naturally.
