Uh-UH! That's not good! Your floor's warm because you have a hot water pipe under the slab that's developed a leak. The rest of the bad news is that the leak might not be directly under the hot spot. Water, like electricity, will follow the path of least resistance so the leak could be some feet away. This is a double financial whammy for you. You're not only paying for the water that you're losing but you're paying the additional expense of heating it.
You should shut the cold water supply off to the water heater and not turn it on unless someone has to bathe or wash dishes and then turn it back off again.
In my area od Florida all our homes are on slabs. When we are faced with problem we first call in a leak detection service ,such as Sleuth. They come in, locate the leak, take up the slab and bag the dirt so the plumber can come in and repair the leak.
Another option would be to locate the manifold in the wall and reroute the pipe over head. Your plumber will tell you which option is best in your case.
Good luck and thank you for rating my answser. Tom
