Ok, so we all know that extreme makeover home edition does sum wonderful things for unfortunate families. But I have a few question about the show. Read on, duh:

Ok so a lot of those families are poor, and by the looks of those houses, I'm pretty sure that the mortgage and up-keeping is kind of high priced. So do they build da house and stick the family with the money issues?

Also, what wood happen if they newly house burned down or something else that destroyed it? Wood they say sorry, and make them deal wit it?

After googling "extreme makeover: home edition" I found that the materials and supplies to build the homes are donated, so the family doesn't have to pay for them. It also shows that the families are given money to pay taxes on the house for 25 years. Homeowner's insurance should pay for damages done to the home.
