Hi,
We get paid on the 15th of every month. We are paid hourly and vacation is paid out every pay day. How do I go about paying stat holiday pay for this kind of payroll set up. Any suggest greatly appreciated. Just don't want to do anything wrong.:)

Thank you

You would pay the holiday pay under a code for Holiday Pay. So if you are paid monthly and you have 160 hours in a payperiod with a stat holiday you would pay 152 regular time and 8 hours stat holiday pay. If you have vacation in there somewhere it is paid as vacation pay.

So if the employee has 160 hours in the payperiod is off one day for "Holidays" (vacation) and 1 day for "stat holiday" you would have the following on the pay slip for the employee:

Pay hours

Regular time 144 hours
Vacation "holiday" 8 hours
Stat Holiday 8 hours
------------------------------------
Total paid 160 hours

Are you in Canada? I pay payroll in both U.S. and Canada and in Canada the holidays are called Stat Holidays.
