Hi,
My boyfriend struggles with lust and it is taking a toll on our relationship.
Can you direct us on how to conquer the lust? Does it stem from a bad event? Wrong thinking? Selfishness? Any information on why one struggles with lust so strongly and how we can break this way of thinking would be so aprreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I'm confused - lust for you? Lust for someone else? A higher sexual drive than you have? I'm not sure what you're talking about or asking.

Hello earth:

I don't know about you, but I like lust. Lust is good. It's natural. It keeps the earth propagated.

Hi, eartohear58!

How is lust taking a toll on your relationship, please?

Thanks!

Lust definitely is natural. It's something that one must have some control over though; does he have lust for others? I guess my stance on that is that thoughts are thoughts, they can't necessarily be helped, and as long as he does not act on it it shouldn't be an issue.
Too much lust for you? If he is constantly talking about it or it is making you uncomfortable, just tell him you'd appreciate him keeping some of those thoughts to himself.

There's a different between conquering lustful thoughts and lustful actions.

We can only guess at what eartohear58 is meaning here. It could be about something religious or something else entirely. Best to be saving energy and time in posting until eartohear58 returns to elaborate on the specifics of the situation.

I don't know and with respect to my friend and colleague, Excon - if he's lusting after a neighbor, my mother, a character in a cartoon show or the dog I'd be concerned.

If you do return, eartohear58, and I hope that you will, I would appreciate an answer to my question that I asked in Post #5.

We do care about you and your relationship here!

Thanks!
