I am 34 weeks pregnant and I have just had a scan that shows my baby is already 6p4oz. My baby all the way along in my pregnancy has shown to be bigger. The last period I had was on the 13th March but it was abnormal. My period usually is heavy for 3 days then lightens up of the following 2-3 days (Total 5-6 days) but my last period was only 2 days and was light. I have 2 other children (first born @ 34 weeks 4p8oz) and (Second born 39 weeks @ 7p1oz). I don’t have a history of big babies so is there a chance I am further along as from what I have been told my baby is the size of a 38 week pregnancy OR am I just having a BIG baby?

What did the earlier scans show? These would be more accurate than going by your last period. They are also more accurate for dating purposes than later scans for determining baby's weight. If baby has always been bigger (from scan measurements), I am surprised they didn't adjust your due date accordingly. If you have been measuring bigger, that doesn't mean as much as there are various factors that can account for that. It is probably the least reliable means of determining baby's possible size.
Have you asked your doctor or midwife if you could be farther along than previously thought?

My first scan when I found out showed I was at 6 weeks (so this is what my Dr went by)but then my 12 week scan showed I was 15 weeks and I have shown further along (tummy measurement and 20 week scan) since then. I had a low lying placenta so I had another scan at 32 weeks and they said it showed my baby was a BIG baby so this is why they sent me for another scan at 34 weeks. They have also done diabetes tests again but have all come back negative. I suggested this to my Dr about being further along but they have said that my vary first scan that showed me being 6 weeks was in line with my last period that was light but short so this is what they have gone by the entire time BUT the only time things have matched.
Should I just leave it and he will come when he comes? I am just concerned for the fact that they only let you go over 10 days and if my dates are incorrect I could end up going over a lot more. Could this also be a problem?

Try not to worry... if they get concerned enough they will likely start talking induction. Measuring a few weeks ahead is not necessarily a concern, especially if it has held steady throughout and scans are not an exact science.
Might be just a good sized baby and you are right on schedule. Even then try not to worry as it is very rare that a woman will grow a baby too large for her to give birth to and they would be very obviously concerned if that were the case.
If you are farther along, odds are you will go before your due date once again, or soon afterwards, on your own.
I know it is hard not to worry, but they will keep tabs on how things are going and you can certainly ask for the nonstress test and such if your due date passes if it is not brought up by your doctor.

OK, thank you! That does make me feel better... :)
What is the NONSTRESS TEST that I can ask for?
