I took the acess panel off today and turneed unit on and the buzzing was coming from a black plastic thing, and it became very hot in just a second.

Be smart and save copys to your hard drive for future needs.
Locate the item that is buzzing and post back. NOTE: turn off power while you are playing with the heater. 240 volts can kill you.

The part number is on the list. You will have to call around to get a price.
Other transformers can be used since many suppliers may not have the exact part number you need. You will have to check with a local supplier or on the net.

Just replaced my 24VAC transformer for around $20. Cut the power to the unit, take a picture or write down how its wired and take it to a heating specialty place. They can match it up with something pretty close. Make it easy on yourself and insist they give you a new transformer that has identical spade connectors.
BTW they do get a little warm (not too warm to touch) and buzz a little, so don't be too surprised when the new one does this some.
