You need to have prior written permission to leave your state and/or the country. Without this permission from your PO you will be automatically violated if they catch you. You need to talk it over with your PO now in case your job requires you to leave the state or go offshore. If you don't get permission to leave your state, your job will just have to be done by someone else until you are off probation. When you are on probation consider it the same as being in jail only you get to go home and sleep in your own bed instead of the bunk in jail. Having a job is great and all that, but you must remember that you are on probation and not in jail - but you could be if you break any of the probation rules you must strictly follow. Just completing part of the movie is fine and great, but you still need the prior written permission to leave your state or go offshore as you put it. You also just can't ask your PO for a blanket "I'm going to be out of the state sometime next month" thing. They will require exact dates and exactly where you will be and for how long until you return. You just might have to keep asking for each time you must leave the state as well as they will only give you one "pass" stating all the times, places, etc and then you'll have to just get another "pass". Pain in the neck, yes. But which is worse? Sitting in jail or sitting in your own home eating what YOU want to eat for dinner instead of a balogna sandwich? It's your turn.
