I recently got my right ear peirced in the cartiladge, and I'm just wondering how many people have got it done, have have had their cartiladge shattered, and if they have, has thair ear flopped?

I got mine done with a gun and I'm now REALLY worried about it, where I got it done, is apparently not trained to do piercings, but I didn't know this, until now, which is 3 days later :S

Its really swollen, and I'm not sure if that's because is either a new piercing, or because its shattered.

If someone can help me, and answer what seems like never anding questions, then I will actually love them forever x

I have 2 of my left cartilage pierced. I did both myself with a safety pin. So far, there are no infections.
But my friend got hers done 2 years ago, with a sewing needle, but now her ear became like yours, red and swollen. 2 years after(now she's 20) her ears are droopy. The doctor told her that the reason was that the type of needle stuff started eating away at her cartilage, which made it droopy.
I'm not sure if that helps or not..

Thank you. The swelling did go down eventually, I emailed a partly local piercer, and he said it was because it was a new one, but I don't think it shattered, a bit may of broken off, because a bit of my ear has now gone a tad puffy. Though I got it done on 31st of October, it is still a bit tender at times but getting better

I have two on my right and three on my lest on all kinds of places. Umm your pircing is probably a little infecting just keep it clean and don't toush it leave it alone its probable irritated, but hey if it doesn't get any better in a week I advise you to take it out and let it close up... I went to piercing pagoda and they did an awesome job I have ten ear piercing from there.. hope I could help:)
