Talk with the teacher. That would be the best way to go. He/she needs to know you are struggling, and will have ideas to help you. That's what teachers are for, to help us figure out the best way to study so we will learn and benefit from the class.
I've been a student and I've been a teacher. Trust your teacher to be on your side.
