This is my first post. Do I need a program to upload a DVD to my hard drive? I have the Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5 program for WIN XP that I had on my old PC, but now I have a new computer using WIN VISTA. Will the older XP version work on my new computer? My intention is to upload the DVD to You Tube.
Many thanks, Richard

What type of dvd?

Are you trying to copy a movie to your hard drive?

When using roxio in vista, does it come up with error or why does it not work?

In vista, you should right click on roxio and choose run as admin to see if that would help out or make difference - these types of apps should be run as admin

What kind of file are you looking to get? Avi, wmv etc..

Yes, a DVD movie I took with my own DVD camera

No error, I just am not real computer literate

OK

I guess wmv? All I want to do is be able to upload my DVD to You Tube and also to burn a regular size DVD disc
