I gave guardianship over my daughter to my sister. It was not court appointed. Can I get my daughter back? Even if I signed papers saying that she can have gaurdiansdhip of her?

In most states in order for a guardianship to be legal you must go to court. If you want your child back now you must go to court. What state do you in and how long has your sister had your daughter and what papers did you signed?

I live in the state of Arizona. A family lawyer typed up the papers for her and we signed them in my house. She's had her for 3months. They were just garudianship papers.

Again, unless they were filed in court and signed by the judge they are not binding, the sister can use the papers in court to try and force the guardianship.
