I am 31 years old and I have a daughter who is 11 years old! I had a miscarriage back on 5-23-1998 just a year after my daughter was born. Since then nothing, no pregnancies!

My period was normal 28 days until this past April! It lasted for 20 days straight! I went to the GYN and talked to her about it and my hormones are normal and then she done a Hystosalpingogram (I guess you spell it that way) and my tubes are open, no blockages or anything to be seen!

So after I saw the Dr all went back to being normal again just 34 days now between my periods! May, June, July, August were all fine! Then I missed September's period, I took pregnancy tests around the date it was due and nothing, Negative! Still no period, Oct 5th I took another, Negative also! Then on Oct 10th I had very light spotting (not even enough to dirty a pad or Tampon) Weird! Again on Oct 11th and 12th, but again it seemed only to show when I wiped! It started as a pinkish red color then slowly went to a brownish pink! My period's are usually 4 to 5 days long! Never had a period shorter than 4 days! So now we are at Oct 31 and still no period! I have had some headaches, been tired and crankey, and for a few days I felt nausieated! I was going to the bathroom a lot for about 3 weeks and that stopped! I always feel hungry! Then last night I started to get the urge to scratch my stomach near the belly button.

Also I guess I should mention that I have been having some unusual amount of mucus (clear non-smelly) lately! I can't get an appt for the GYN until Nov 21st.

Any advice??

I would love to be pregnant! So would my husband!

I sounds like you may be pregnant. Buy a drugstore pregnancy test. With my first pregnancy, I took pregnancy tests in my 1 and 2 month of pregnancy and they came up as negative, I even had blood work done to see why I was feeling so *sick* with gastro-intestinal problems. Their pregnancy test came up negative. One day I woke up, and I just knew that I was pregnant and had been pregnant. I bought another pregnancy test and I got a positive. I had a couple of complications with that pregnancy, but my daughter is doing fine now. So, based on my experience--you may be pregnant. Just take another test. Good Luck.

Ladies, I have been experiencing symptoms for the last several weeks also! Took two test and both negative! I had some bleeding for 4 days prior to my period time and am still feeling symptoms.

Let us know what happens with you, Chocolat.

Kim, did doctors say why you tested negative? I don't want to obsess over everything happening in my body, but I can't deny nausea, cramping in tummy and lower back, food aversions, and hightened sense of smell just to name a few of the many things I've been experiencing. It's been almost a whole month for me with these symtpoms and still negative tests and the past two months, I've had what I think were periods although they are not my regular ones. (I'm very regular and my periods are usually the same... heavy on day one and then tapers off starting on day 2 and ends on day 4 or 5.) Lately they've been really heavy all days and last 3 or 4 days and then some brownish fluid for a day or so. My period in September came with flu like symtpoms. Don't know what's going on.

And yes, my stomach is now bloated over the past 3 weeks and it's normally flat.

In response:
I had my daughter. She is 3 years old now. I had a second pregnancy that had no symptoms (I did not think about missing periods because my daughter was 11 months old and I was breastfeeding. She had just weened herself (I believe it is because the milk tasted funny because of the pregnancy). My periods were not normal.) Around 2 months pregnant, I just got a weird sick/dizzy sensation that I had ever only experienced during my first pregnancy. I said hmm that was weird. I told my husband. He said lets get a HPT first thing in the morning.. we did and I was pregnant. My son is 19 months now.

I wish both of you the best of luck.

I had a similar kind of thing happen this weekend! I was laying in bed and I felt the room spinning! It was weird! However this morning I ate a Bacon Egg Cheese Sandwich and felt my tummy start to turn! I am waiting!
