I live in another state, butI have several non-extraditable misdemeanor warrants outstanding in Florida. I plan on traveling to Costa Rica in November and have to catch a connecting flight in Ft. Lauderdale, many counties away from where the warrants were issued. Do I need to worry about being detained at the Ft. Lauderdale airport as a result of this?
Thanks!

Yes, and sorry what do you ean by non extraditable, all warrants can be extradited it is just a matter that most states or local governments will not extradite unless it is serous, unless there are a lot of warrnants and they really want him.

But yes I would be concerned about it.

Ft Lauderdale airport has some pretty strict people working there. The Broward Sheriff's Office will be more than happy to keep you in their facility until the other county comes and collects you. Have fun!

Hello Dog:

I'm pretty sure those cops are just playing tetris on their computers at the airport. Let me know if they have anything MORE on them than that.
