I just installed a new thermostat (Ritetemp 8050c) onto a electric furnace and A/C unit. Connected the following wires to the corresponding terminals as the instructions showed (W1, R, Y, G, B) When I attempted to run the A/C I could hear things starting up but no air was produced. After a while, I could feel cold air coming from the vents, but was trickleing out. The fan switch seems to be functioning properly. It seems to stop and start something in the furnace area. But no air is blowing through the vents, at any detectable rate.

I've been renovating the property and have only tested the HVAC once several monthes ago with the heat using the original thermostat. At that time, it was blowing air. This is a condo, and I haven't seen the A/C unit, but assume its on the roof as its existence was stated in the listing and buying contract.

Is it possible I fouled up the wiring, or this thermostat is not compatible. Any help is very welcome before I have to call in the pros.

Is it a heat/cool thermostat?
