I know this is just something random that I wanted to do but I really want to train rex to become a therapy dog, you know the kind that goes visits patients in the hospital once or twice a week. Would I be able to take a course to certify him as a therapy dog or am I to young(16). Is it even possible, or am I crazy to even think about it! What is the course to take in Nova-Scotia?

We have pets visiting nursing homes and retirement homes here and they are not trained, just good house pets with a passive temperament. They visit with their owners on a regular basis.
I know of one major training resource in Oakville Ontario that trains guide dogs and therapy dogs. You can read about them on this website
Puppies, Dogs - Canada's Guide to Dogs - Dog Breed Information (http://www.canadasguidetodogs.com)

If I am permited to go and volunteer doing pet assisted therapy without having rex certified should I still have a type of identification on him saying he is a therapy? If yes do you know any good vest, capes harnesses or even just patches?
