Remove the plug at the pump. Add some water. Replace plug.

To add some to that, add water until it overflows, then replace the plug.

May take a few times of priming. Start by following advice from above. If this doesn't work, come back and we will give you more advice.

Take garden hose, Flood the pump until it overflows, turn it on...

Priming means establishing positive suction by replacing air with water.

In the start_up period, I want to prime and start pump ( in the refinery), what should I do with the vent at the high point ( at the discharge of the pump). I open it when I prime pump to remove all gas.

You have npiggybacked on another thread. Before I move you up to your own thread please explain what function your pump performs,( the word "refinery" makes me ask.)

To remove air in the line simply open a faucet at the highest point in the system after the pump is up to pressure and shuts down. Please respond with more details. Regards, Tom
