I married a man from Ghana. I know I can get a state divorce but I need a spiritual divorce so I can get remarried under God. His name is Samuel Kofi Gyau. His mom is a streamtress. She maybe dead, since she was very ill when I last heard from Samuel. We married in Arkansas. How can I find this man. He may be in Maryland or in Ghana?

Well, I know nothing about finding someone in Ghana. But if he's in the US it should be fairly easy to find him - especially if you're willing to pay to have him found.

It can be as easy as Googling the person's name, to paying a search company to locate him online, to actually hiring a private investigator to find him.

There is no such thing as a spiritual divorce that I have ever heard of. Well maybe an annulmnet in the Catholic Church.

If he is in the US, he should be easy to find, if he is in Ghana, almost impossible to find

The above is easy public records, so I am not giving out any private info.

Not sure how common this name is, but there is one listed in the US

Do you have an approximate age for Samuel Kofi Gyau?

Do you have an approximate age for Samuel Kofi Gyau?

He is between 34-40. The reason for this answer is the fact that I took a look at his visa and it had a different name and age on it.

Was the name listed on the visa actually Samuel Kofi Gyau? If not, do you remember the name used?

This is a number I received from him years ago so I could use it on my car insurance. I asked him for his driver license number but I believe that this is not a driver license number (G0001758013825)

You know, my understanding is that abandonment is grounds for an anulment, and if you are abandoned, of course, the other spouse isn't likely to willingly participate.

If your church requires something that is not feasible or reasonable, know that no religion is perfect- only God is perfect and no religion, as all are created by man, can capture his perfection. In other words, use your common sense and go along with what is appropriate, not what isn't.

Get your legal divorce, and file for whatever form of spiritual marriage disolution your church provides with the cause of abandonment. And like I say, if they won't do it without his participation, forget about it and move on with your life. Churches should be supportive, not an albatross making hard situations worse!

I agree with you. He left me after being married for four days and we decided to get divorce after he was gone for about five months. We never had intercourse. He went through the motions of sex but I refused to allow insertion because I felt like I was raped not sharer of the sex.
