How can you get a exspungement of your records for a felony that is 10 years old.

You hire an attorney to petition the court for an expungement.

I don't know what state you are in, but in California just go to the court site (probably superior) and put "expungement" in the search box. It will take you to all the forms you need in order to do it yourself.

Although the law DOES allow you to "do it yourself", there are SOME legal things that shouldn't be attempted WITHOUT a lawyer. In my view, expungement is one of those.
If it were a bureaucratic procedure, then it wouldn't require an attorney... But an expungement ISN'T a bureaucratic thing. It's a court thing. Therefore, there's going to be a prosecutor on the other side of the table telling the judge all the reasons he SHOULDN'T grant the expungement... I'd want an attorney there telling the judge why he should.
