hey i am on probation for 3 years and i just got on it this january 08 and im 18 i will be off when i am 21 i gott on it for embezelment and all my family lives in louisiana but when i got in troouble with the law i was in michigan i asked for permission to be with my family in louisiana but the judge told me i had to pay off the restitution first what will happen if i leave the state and just send payments to michigan will they come and get me?:confused: im so confused about the situation and i haven't made my mind made up about if i want to leav or nnot but i have no family in michigan and i am staying in a homeless shelter and i'd feel more comfortable if i had my family and the supposrt from them

If you just move they will revolk your probation and put a warrant out for your arrest, that warrant will stay valid forever.

So while they may not come and get you, you will never get off probation and always show a warrant till you are caught close enough to them.

Most likely you will end up serving the 3 years in prison instead of probation

You need to read the sticky posted by Excon in the Criminal section about having your probation transferred to a different state and follow this advice to the letter. Having your probation transferred is much preferable than having a warrant issued any day.
