My kitchen drain is leaking onto the floor behind the kitchen cabinet and running toward the center of the house. Although I cannot see it I'm pretty sure the leak is located inside the cinder block wall. I'm wondering what is acutally in there and how to access it. From what I can see under the cabinet there is a 2 inch diameter pipe that goes straight back into the cinder block. How would the pipe typically run after that. What do I need to do to fix it?
If I go to Home Depot will they have a replacement part so I can see what I am up against. Anyone out there have a picture?

Thanks in advance
Bill

Are you pipes PVC or what material? That 2" pipe generally runs 6-8" straight back and then does a 90 elbow down or to the side. If the block was laid after the plumbing you will need to break out some blocks which can be patched later. For now I'd break the block that the pipe disappears intoi and see for sure if the leak is right there at the 90 or below.
