I have been scouring this web site for everyone's solutions for removing dark hair color. But they all seem to say do it within 48-72 hours of the coloring. I dyed my hair on Saturday and it's now Thursday. That's a lot of days!

I want to try the Prell thing, or the dish soap thing, or the laundry detergent thing. But I am wondering if it's too late to try any of those techniques?

Some info; I never dye my hair, I don't even highlight it, but apparently I got a wild hair up my you know what and decided to color it. My natural color is a dark blonde/light brown. More gold if you will. And the hair dye box said deep/dark brown, but it came out muted and blah brown and I just want my shiny gold hair back!

Thanks in advance.

Honestly, just go to a salon and explain your natural color. They can try and lighten your hair to match your natural color. Don't try any 'techniques' you'll only make your hair unbelievably unhealthy. And, if you're that concerned buy a shampoo that strips things out of your hair. Check out the 'Bed Head' collection.
