Howeveri have been on the phone to my ISP they say there's no problem there end. Then I went on the phone to Microsoft about xbox live they just made me change my pass. Where are you getting this message as it seems to indicate that your Firefox installation has become corrupt.
Time for a system restore.

Is this error message anything to with my other problem?

Nope.
What you most likely had was a sync issue that resolved itself.

You are on Tiscali after all, not the most reliable of ISP's ;)

I really don't think it was anything of the sort, but I would be inclined to ensure your routers firewall is enabled.
If it doesn't have that functionality then it's time for an upgrade.
