Pipe is rusted out where it connects to drain , is there any way to repair this without replacing shower?

Ironsandrea...

We would need more information here. If the drain itself is shot you probably have issue. If just the pipes and the pipes are accessible then we can walk you through repairing them.

What kind of shower floor? Tile? Fiberglass?

A picture would really help...

Let me know what you can.

There might be if you can get to it. I assume you're speaking about the trap raiser. Sounds like a cast iron trap with a galvanized raiser. If that's so the raiser threads into the top of the trap. Unscrew the raiser out of the trap.
You may now purchase a PVC male threaded adapter in the correct size, a short piece of PVC pipe, a PVC compression fitting and a small can of both PVC glue and primer. This ought to get you going again. Good luck, tom
