Clear differences between the Republican and Democratic Parties

They both serve a distinct function in our two party system.
The Republicans run up the bubble to allow for the inflation tax.
The Democrats deflate the bubble and run up real taxes.
This way, you are always getting taxed and the masters are always getting paid.

Actually, this time at lease, there would be a great difference between the judges that McCain and Obama would appoint. That is enough to get me to vote for McCain. I won't argue with Magprob as above. But remember that it was a Democrat administration that saddled us with the Fedral Reserve system that has systematically plundered this country ever since 1913.

I can think of a few republicans that have helped in that situation. Neither side is innocent!!

The federal reserve system will not work with, say, a third party. A party that will stop the military industrial complex, shut down bases around the world. (Imperilism) And stop the mad printing of useless paper that is being used to swindle Americans out of America. That is why the main stream media shunned Ron Paul. Now, as they see the collapse coming, they are inviting Ron Paul on their shows. The ones that are waking up that is. I love to watch the blank look in their eyes when Ron Paul tells them the truth. They still can't seem to get it completely but, at least they are coming around a little.

Thank you Karma but, you need to see that the same thing is now taking place in Canada. You will not be just an innocent bystander for long. I think you probably already know that though.

There is more chance for a third party is gain valuable seats here but historically it has been a two party fight. Our politicians are more moderate in their stances than their american counterparts. I do wonder what would happen if some nasty legislation was on the way how we would react.

but there is a slightly different situation . Oil prices are dropping and all the exporters are going to feel the pinch .Can't fund that nanny-state without the petrol-loon .It is losing value against the strengthening dollar.

So now when we print one trillion dollars from thin air, the dollar goes up. Come on. Gold should be around $2000. An ounce. Maybe more. They are depressing its value through supply and derivitives. Same game, different object of value. This mess is a multi legged monster and only one of its shoes has hit the floor. When the other shoes start dropping...
As Frank Zappa sang:
Oh lawdy mama I can't afford no shoes, do you have a bundle of rags that I can use?

certainly is a strange thing for a libertarian to sayHello again, tom:
I didn't say the Democrats can achieve it. They just stand for it. Same thing with the Repubs.
SOME of us libertarians DIDN'T drink the koolaid.
Besides, isn't Ron Paul, a very good libertarian, a Republican? And, isn't Bob Barr, a very good Republican, a Libertarian? Splain THAT to me.

As long as folks are divided and keep playing the blame game, nothing will get any better. We will always be doing what the vipers want us to. When people decide to unite and rout out the den of vipers, then we can oversee who is left and make sure they are doing things right. All this blame and finger pointing is useless. Both sides are being paid off to do the exact opposite of what is best for main street. Just go to OpenSecrets.org: Money in Politics -- See Who's Giving & Who's Getting (http://www.opensecrets.org) and do a little fishing. You will see who their true constituency is.
