I am 37 y.o. with no prior military experience, who would like to join the Army National Guard as an I.T. Specialist (25B). A 25B MOS requires a security clearance. I have just recently been discharged of a $30k Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. Will my bankruptcy discharge prevent me from getting a MOS that requires a security clearance?

The answer should be no. I am in the us army and just had my clearance updated. The guy that did my interview said that the week before he had approved 3 diff peeps that had bankruptcy. So I don't believe that it will matter. But it could be different for someone trying to get an initial clearance. Hope this helps
