I paid my debt to society 11 years ago but still don't have equal employment opportunity rights. Does anyone have any experience in this area?

Hi again, stratosphere!
I just moved your question that you had posted in Introductions to this topic area so that it would get the most exposure to those who are best able to answer it. Introductions is for people to introduce themselves and we try to not ask questions there.
In order to help those who do come along to advise you, it would be helpful to know a little more about what you did that made you an offender, the types of employment that you have sought out and also your present skills as well as experience that you've already had when you have been employed.
Thanks!

Why do you feel you don't have equal opportunity rights?

Hello strat:
If you mean that you're still being judged on your past, you are. However, there's nothing unfair or illegal about that. Everybody makes those kinds of judgments.
If you want to prevent that from happening, hire a lawyer to get your record expunged. That way, nobody will see it. That should level the playing field for you.

Hello corm:
You need an expungement or a pardon, and you'll need a lawyer to get either.
