Hi,
I'm not looking for a wood stove instert. I have wood stove I'm looking to put in a clay lined chimney. I'm pretty sure I have to take out the flue, but then does the piping have to go all the way up to where the clay lining starts in the chimney?
If I do take the flue out, should I insulate around the piping?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Remove damper
Measure and fabricate adapter from damper hole to stove flue size
Attach and slip in.
Measure in front of stove/insert and side to side. Find local code requirements for hearth and build.
Anchor stove/insert
It is a pain in the a$$
It is a bigger pain in the A$$ to remove to clean every year.

OR plug bottom at damper with concrete or?

Cut new hole in fireplace chimny area and attack pipe from stove to new hole.

Block off fireplace front and extend hearth as mentioned before.
