Yes, it's possible to conceive with low sperm count, but see what happens after he has used the medication. Do you recall what it was called? Changes in diet are thought to have an effect on count and quality of sperm as well... zinc, folic acid, vitamin C, etc. are all important nutrients for your husband to have. Certain lifestyles are thought to play a role for some men too... smoking, testicles kept too warm, etc..
Quality becomes very important when count is lower because so many are often not in the best of shape to begin with and you want as many healthy sperm as possible.

Is he taking any of these medicine:
Anabolic steroids
Antihypertensives
Allopurinol
Erythromycin
Chemotherapy
Cimetidine
Colchicine
Cyclosporine
Dilantin
Gentamycin
Nitrofurantoin
Tetracycline

Also, drinking alcohol is no good and can effect your conceiving too. Is he a workalcholic because that too can slow down the process. As mention above, try the medicine and eat healthy but men with low sperm count can have kids. The process might be more harder but it can happen. Good Luck!
