The father of the children has to consent to the adoption - that is (basically) the first step.

You need an Attorney because it's a complicated process.

This should have its own thread and not be piggybacked. No one will see it.

Moved to its own thread. This is not a blog, you need to ask a new question, not put your question as a answer to someone else's post.
If you want to add more info onto THIS post you do that as an answer

It will start with hiring an attorney and getting the bio fathers permission. If he will not sign it will be harder if even possible.

You will need to get the biological father to sign over his rights to the child. If/when he does this, you can move ahead with the adoption by completing the papers, filing them at the court, and then everyone (your husband, the child and you) will show up at a court date established by the court.

Like the other poster said, if the biological father will not sign over the rights, its basically a no-go. He needs to do that before anything else can get started.

Good Luck.
