I watched the movie in day care in 1992, not sure if it was new or old then. It's not animated. There was actual people characters playing the toys. So they were like rag dolls and such. It was so long ago, I don't remember if it was a boy or a toy maker who owned the toys. Whenever he left, they would come and play. I remember them singing the song "who stole the cookie from the cookie jar". There was other events that happened that I'm really not sure about. Something like a toy would be in trouble or something and the other toys had to help him out... I THINK it was something like that. Or maybe there was a bully or something. I know not much to go on, but if somebody can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it! It may have been a show or something, but I'm pretty sure it was a short movie.

Are you sure about the year? Because it sounds like The Secret Life of Toys. Although I am not sure if that was a movie or a TV show.

Thanks, but that's not it. I'm pretty sure about the year. I'm 22 now, and I watched it in day care. I only went to day care in kindergarten. The toys r played by people. They aren't puppets or anything. Well, there might be a couple, but not that I remember. I remember people

The son of a famous toy manufacturer attempts to keep his father's company out of the hands of his crazy uncle, who plans to manufacture the toys as weapons.

That's what it says in the description of the movie I just mention above. It came out in December 1992 and it stars Robin Williams

I watched something with that song when I was little. It was called "Wee Sing: Grandpa's Magical Toys." I remember the cookie song, and the "have you ever ever ever in your long-legged life..." song. I hope this is it.

RIL: You're right you two are talking about the same movie. I just responded to your post a couple weeks ago.

"I'm pretty sure you are mixing movies. They are both of the "WeeSing" franchise, but the mouse and the bear are from "WeeSing Together" and the Toy Store and the song are from "WeeSing Grandpa's Magical Toys" check out the WeeSing website, Amazon or YouTube, you'll love it."

I used to love those movies.

It's the wee-sing videos, but I cannot remember the rest of the title. Its real people playing toys, and dancing and singing, it might be a sing a long.

Is it babes in toyland? That movie was about a girl from Cincinnati and she bumps her head in a car wreck and goes to this place where all the toys come to life.

I'm also looking for a toy film and perhaps we are looking for the same one. I remember watching the film probably about 24 years ago. I particularly remember that the toys were panicking about getting back to the toy store before a certain time otherwise they would turn back to normal toys. I must have only been about 10 when I saw it last so my memory is vague but I recall the movie being quite dark (in the sense of the mood). Something tells me it might have been in black and white but I'm really not sure. Anybody got any ideas?

Ahh. I've finally found the film I was looking for. It's called Quincy's Quest. A toy has to find Santa Clause before 9pm otherwise he turns back into a toy. There's some singing in it too which I didn't realise. Maybe it's the film you were looking for too?

'Where The Toys Come From' ? It was a movie in 1984 - I used to watch it all the time as a kid. Had characters like Peepers and Zoom - like wind up toys. :)

It may be the 1934 laurel and hardy movie 'babes in toyland' also known as 'March of the Wooden Soldiers.' In this live action movie, life-size toy soldiers come to life.
