I found an "Etching in Color" original artist's proof of "The Terrace" by Westchiloff. Published in Paris, at Limited Edition. Signed by Westchiloff and in the lower right hand corner below his signature, the word "Sorrenti" is writtin in pencil. Please tell me something about this piece. Thank you.

An artist's proof is basically a test print. I would guess Sorrenti is the name of the printmaker. I think the convention is that some time after the final prints are marketed, the artist's proofs are then made available. As to their comparative value, I cannot say.
An original Westchiloff painting can sometimes command tens of thousands of dollars at auctions.
