A swimmer sinks to the bottom of a pool. The ppol measures 50.0 meters by 20.0 meters, and has a uniform water height of 2.00 meters. When he sinks, the water level rises .100 mm . What's the person's mass in Kg if their density of 1.01 g/cm cubed?

1) Find the initial volume of the water in the pool.
2) Find the new volume of water in the pool.
3) Subtract the answer in 2) from 1) to get volume of the person.
4) Using Density=\frac{Mass}{Volume}, find the mass of the person. You have his density and his volume is in 3)

OR, SHORTER

1) Find volume of person directly, as the rise in water equals the volume of the person's body, equals the increased height of the water level x length x width of pool.
2) Same procedure as for 4) above.
