I own a 1991 Honda crx dx and one day while i was driving it had cut out on me. When it did it jerked once and i slowed down then when i downshifted it cut off completely! So once i towed it to the house and jacked it up i noticed that the screw inside the distributor cap holding the rotar inside on had come off. i figured it was the distributor that kept my car from starting so i bought a new one and replaced it. My car doesnt start stil but it turns it just wont start. Before when i brought it back to the house the primary injector was not firely correctly but the secondary was. After i replaced the distributor it was firing as it should. i also checked for spark both times and even did shot some brake cleaner into the injector . still no start! I dropped the exhaust out of the bottom just because i thought maybe it was clogged...still wont start! i have replaced the ecu with a 88 civic dx ecu and it just wont start for !!someone solve this for me!
Thanks
Chris

If the engine turns but won't start sounds like a fuel issue. Have you tried changing the fuel filter and/or pump? I had the same issue and the fuel pump went out on me. Mine was in the actual gas tank so had to be dropped. I do not have a honda but the same principal is there.

Check for spark, check if your distributor is creating a spark if not replace it, if your vehicle sparks than lik the dude uptop said yuh may not be getting fuel. A way to check if your vehicle is getting fuel is you can spray starter fluid into the air filter and if it starts with the starter fluid you have a fuel problem but if it doesn't start it means your car is getting fule but still won't start so you might have a different issue on your hands. Also check timing it might be off or your belt ripped off slipped a gear. There's a lot of things that may be wrong with your car.. sensors, or relay.
