OK I don't know if I'm in the right topic, but I was wondering how long it REALLY takes to get a passport if you don't pay extra to have it expedited. My sis in law has a trip to mexico on November 6th and she hasn't applied for her passport yet. The government website say they process the application in three weeks, but the expedited ones are door to door in two weeks. Now I know she is not going to chance her trip, but I was wondering if anyone has applied for one recently and what the wait time was.

In Ontario, my son got his in three weeks through the mail and that was a first time user.
