I'm a single parent and has a 1 y/o daughter. My daughter's father is living with another girl and they have a 2 1/2 y/o daughter too. Me and my daughter's father are both a nursing student right now. Since I got pregnant I never received any support from him. And now that my daughter turned 1, I want to know what are my daughter's rights against her father and is it right for me to sue him for abandonment?

Greetings and WELCOME to the site, Jackie de Jesus!
I'm sorry that your question got overlooked! I was just checking some recent introductions and noticed your question in there. Your question got overlooked because it was posted in the Introductions topic area of this site. We try not to post questions in Introductions.
I've moved your question to a topic area of the site where I'm sure that it will get noticed by people who will respond to it. We would appreciate it if you would return to Introductions in order to tell us a little more about yourself sometime, if you would be willing to do that.
Thanks!

You go to court and file for support. You may have to file for paternity first. He will then likely file for visitation. And you will all work this out in court. However, if he is a student, the same as you, and isn't married to the mother of his other child, you may not be looking at much in support, at least right now. What state are you in? That will generally define what you can expect in support for your daughter.
