Go here: Customer Support - Lexmark (http://support.lexmark.com/perl/support/support.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:0:0:0)

In the printer model search box enter 2310
Select the printer model that shows up
You may have to click on Find Drivers on the left hand side
Select Vista in the box

Which version of Vista is it? Home Premium?
Does it have the Service Pack 1 installed? You can figure that out by clicking on the start button and typing "winver" (with out the quotes) in the "start search" input box.

Does it have the Service Pack 1 installed? It doesn't matter. If she follows the link and instructions I gave her then she'll get the proper drivers.

Maybe it will, maybe it won't. But, I've seen that with my own Vista Home PC, I could install drivers but the devices would still be unrecognized. When I updated the OS with SP1, it started working. Did'nt mean to tread on your toes there buddy.
