My boyfriend has a sevear case of eczmea on his feet, and no medical insurance. It is so bad that his skin is cracked and leakes yellowey/clear fluid, and a little bit of blood. So I guess you could call it an open sore. I was wondering if anyone knew of any over-the-counter remidies that we could use to clear it up.

Any help would be great.

Hi Juicey please don't laugh or think I'm trying to get you to do something silly but has your boyfriend tried peeing on it, hand on heart I swear it worked for me, no one needs to know and its free.
Please try it and I hope it works for him too.

That is a different one. I thought if you peed on a jellyfish sting it would take the sting out, but I have never heard of peeing on any other thing. I know he pees in the shower (first hand knowledge, some men are nasty, but I love him) but I don't think he has ever peed on his foot. I am kind of scared of telling him to try it but what is the worst he can do (laugh at me then secretly pee on himself in the shower to see if it works) Heck I just might be gutsy and tell him to try it. We need all of the sudjestions we can get. It is so bad we have to wet his socks to get them off his feet, because the sores crust over and crust the sock to him.

Thank you flon for your idea. Will try it.

This does not sound like eczema, but rather athelete's foot. Yes, there is an old wives tale that one of the doctors I work for swears by... peeing on it. But he's an old country doctor.

Go to the pharmacy and get Lotrimin AF. Keep the feet dry, cotton socks and barefoot as much as possible.

Again this may sound odd but if he will get him to pee in a bowl (old one of course) and leave his feet in it for a wee while (no pun intended on the wee)maybe at night let them dry naturally don't wash it off till next morning he may have to do this a few times I only done it 3 times and touch wood its gone granny always said it was the natural ammonia in it my brother in law is currently doing it for atheletes foot and he wears by it.

Best of luck he's got nothing to lose and I agree with going barefoot when possible

So I told him about peeing on it last night and he said he tried it before and nothing happened.

J-9:
I am not sure what it is exactly, he just told me it was eather eczmea or psorisos(sorry). I looked both up on the internet and it looks more like eczmea. About going barefoot, He is a desel mechanich so his feet are in cotton socks, tied tight in hot sweety boots all day, so any sudjections on how to handle it at work?

It comes and goes. He had it so bad in high school, it was covering his arms and from his knees down. During the high school flare up he had to wear (2) long sleaved shirts at a time because the one closest to his body would crust to his skin and have blood on it. He complains of it itching constantly. We have blood/puss staines on our sheets from the proble. He compaires it to poison ivy X150. It has left him with scares on his feet from previous flare ups. He doesn't have insurance so going to the doctor is outa the question. He has no idea what it is and how to reduse the iching and flair up.

PLEAS HELP.

You said you've looked on the internet, but have you tried WebMD - Better information. Better health. (http://www.webmd.com) ? It's pretty comprehensive in helping you diagnose the problem. I think he will have an easier time treating it if he knows what it is.

I think the last time was in high school. Like I have said before he has no insurance and wel he has the "Bust you butt for close to nothing pay" kind of job. When he did go they gave him a cream (which he doesn't have anymore) and that helped. But other than that he has had no luck with anything else.

jjwoodhull:
I don't thing I have but I will now. Thanks.

He should go to a podiatrist; that is relatively inexpensive and they can safely cut off the dead, dry tissue, and offer a diagnosis-and meds if needed.

Good Luck!

Try dudu osun black soap.it is great for eczema and you can get it at any african shop or online at Natural Beauty Products (http://www.afrikanrepublic.com)
I have a friend that was born with eczema but she's an adult now and used to suffer from flare-ups till she started using this soap.it's great for all skin types too.you can Google it up and research for yourself before giving your boyfriend to try it.
