Hi Guys,
You guys gave me a nice estimate on my plumbing work earlier, thank you... but there were a few problems during the install...
First, he put the wrong 2 gas pipes in.
A few days later, we went to the store together and I purchased $64 in parts to hook up the double sink (mostly pvc) After an hour of working on the sink, he said he had to run to the store for even more parts! When he left for the store, this is what I saw... It took him 2 more hours after he got back from the store to finish the sink hook-up. He ran the water for 20 minutes while he checked for leaks under the sink when, suddenly, my sprayer and my faucet both started to leak. He said there was no fixing it and that I needed to buy a new one... and to call him when I got it... and as he was walking out the door he told me that one of the pipes in my basement was leaking... (that wasn't leaking before he got there)
So I was left with a sink I still couldn't use, a faucet set leaking in 3 out of 4 places, and a new leaking pipe in the basement!
The next day, out of sheer aggravation, I threw caution to the wind and took apart the sprayer... and re-seated the O-ring. Fixed! The faucet was a little trickier, but I fixed that, also... saving myself $100+ on a new set! I went down to the basement and tightened the valve and the leak stopped! :) Now it was time to do dishes. When I finished, I pulled the plug and watched the water just sit there! I looked under the sink and saw the new pipes leaking in 2 places. It was draining fine, with no leaks, the day before when he was here. I took apart the pipes, snaked the drain, and put it all back together... this time with no leaks. Geeez
Now, my new problem! There's this smell coming up from the drain!
HELP!!
