Just read an interesting article on the NY TIMES (or NY SLIMES for TOM!! ). Apparently Not Hillary has appointed friends from High School to high paying Government jobs. Who was it that appointed an unqualified person to FEMA oh that's right it was G DUB. I hate the saying but sounds like Palin is MORE OF THE SAME.

She has an 80% approval rating in the state. She must be doing something wrong.Certainly it is not unusual for an elected official to hire friends and people they are comfortable working with. The question of Havemeister's qualifications is another matter ;one the slimes got wrong (as ususal) .
What the Slimes fails to mention in their half -truth style in the Franci Havemeister hit job is that the “love of cows” was also accompanied by years in the 4-H program and work done in several sectors of agriculture, as a quick net search finds.
Franci and her husband, Bob, have four children and are lifetime Alaskans. She has spent her life actively involved in agriculture from the 4-H program to varied agriculture sectors including dairy, potato, vegetable and greenhouse production.
Havemeister, Franci (http://www.nasda.org/cms/7195/9474/8783.aspx)
And how has Havemeister performed as Director? The Slime doesn't report any complaints although I have no doubt they tried to find them.
As for former FEMA director Brown ;although there was plenty of blame to go around ,his performance during Katrina meritted his dismissal regardless what anyone thought of his competence.

Now for the rest of the Palin hit piece.
“Careers were turned upside down.”
Indeed that is what a reformer should do. The NYSlimes gets some of their best material from whistle-blowers ,but when Palin resigns because State officials failed to discipline a Republican leader for corruption they add it in as a sidebar on paragraph 50 (her approval rating made it on paragraph 68).
“When Ms. Palin had to cut her first state budget, she avoided the legion of frustrated legislators and mayors. Instead, she huddled with her budget director and her husband, Todd, an oil field worker who is not a state employee, and vetoed millions of dollars of legislative projects.”
Does the Slimes bother to detail which budget items that were slashed were needed projects ? How much of it was pure waste ?
The Slimes makes a big thing about a blogger getting a supposed warning from an unnamed staffer of Palins to stop blogging about her . Are they for real ? If there is any credibility to this story then name the staffer and the blogger .
About the Palin Administration they say "Their secrecy is off the charts."
This coming from supporters of B.O. ;the most opaque public official running for the highest office in the land I've ever seen. 8 years of public records are missing from his Ill. State Senate time ,and it took all types of gyrations to get the scrubbed version of the Annenberg Project records to the public. The most anyone can tell us of him are from quotes from his own auto-biographies (which he admits are embellished with "composite "characters ) .
They rehash the phony trooper-gate nonsense ;and the discreditted lie about the banning of the books. In short ;this was just another slime job by the largest manufacturers of bird cage liners.

Hello spit:
It's clear now what she means by change. She's going to change the leader, but not the policies or methodology.

You people are so inconsistent. First you imply that Palin was mayor of such a small town, hardly more than a village, and now you imply that she shouldn't have appointed someone she knew? How ridiculous can you get? She was not in New York, and problaly knows the majority of the qualified people personally.

EX you absolutely correct!!
Gal she appointed these people when she was Gov. Not Mayor. A mayor of a town does not appoint someone State Division of Agriculture. But maybe it was Allah's plan I mean God's plan(is there really a difference in those statements, scary!! ) that her and her high school friends save Alaska!! So you are telling me in the entire STATE of Alaska only her friends were qualified to run these departments.
Ask the people of Mississippi and New Orleans how it worked out for them one someone's friend was hired for FEMA.

Wasilla,AK is a small city, stop finding excuses that its not.
City of Wasilla : Wasilla Facts (http://www.cityofwasilla.com/index.aspx?page=49)
My high school has 1/4 the amount of that city, and we have the smallest high school in our district.
My principle mine as well be president, I think he is a soccer dad

Again ;show me something... anything that says Franci Havemeister was not qualified for the job. Also show me any evidence that she has not run the Dept competently . Everything else is smear. John Kennedy hired his brother as AG of the US. Was that nepotism and cronyism ? Sure .Was it a good hire ? Absolutely .

Tom the point you are missing is if she gets in what stops her from appointing her husbands fish picking friend Head of FEMA?

If he is qualified for it then why not ? Again I have yet the hear anything that says her picks are pure nepotism and cronyism but not qualified for the job. The NY slimes did not prove it and no one else has either .

Hello tom:
The PROOF of ones incompetence should not rear it's ugly head when a crisis looms. That ISN'T the time to find out a choice was bad (ala Brownie).
A GOOD leader puts competent people in BEFORE a crisis happens specifically so that a crisis DOESN'T happen. I think this is a lesson that is lost on you righty's.

I see no proof that the person is incompetent and I'm pretty sure I have as much information as the NY Slimes has to draw that conclusion.

Hello again, tom:
I have a friend who is a proctologist. I suppose that qualifies him to be Secretary of the Interior?
