Hi. I have a dvr/cable box. I am running s-video to the dvd recorder and the video is fine. My problem is the audio. I directly run the white/red cables to the dvd recorder and it all is done correctly. What happens is the volume is very low on the created dvd. Is there a setting in either the cable box or dvd recorder that I need to change? I have looked for a solution for this in vain. Any ideas?

The cable box (usually) has its own volume setting... what kind is it?

It is a motorola, I have looked in the menu, but did not find any volume settings under the audio section. Found Main, SAP etc but nothing that shows a setting for volume

How to use a Motorola DVR/Programming the Remote - Wikibooks, collection of open-content textbooks (http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/How_to_use_a_Motorola_DVR/Programming_the_Remote#Volume_Lock)

You need to unlock it, then turn it up, then re lock it.

Thanks! I had no idea that it was even locked. This function is for recording correct?

This I believe is the volume output... for everything.

Ok then, I'm at work now, but when I get home I'll give it a try. I'll know later on today.

Again, thanks for your help
